The Federal National Council (FNC) of the UAE participated in the IRENA 2026 Legislative Forum, held in Abu Dhabi under the theme 'Rethinking Frameworks: Enabling the Transition to Renewable Energy'. The event brought together parliamentarians, regulators, policymakers, and experts from around the world as part of international efforts to accelerate the transition to renewable energy and strengthen the legislative and regulatory frameworks supporting this path. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the FNC's Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee and representative of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, delivered a speech at the forum. Dr. Sadr Rashid Al Mansouri, a member of the council, also participated in the delegation.
